Mapex/Rockschool drum clinic - Gurgaon, India, 18th Nov 07

My first drum clinic for Mapex has arrived earlier than I expected when by pure coincidence the Rockschool representative in India was the Mapex one as well J

The clinic was a high profile event and as funny as it sounds I was treated like a drum hero...when at the end everyone brought there own snare drums for my to sign on and their children for me to bless for successful musical career. I felt very humbled by the whole experience.

The Pro-M Mapex drum kit that I have used my great and Sahil (the Mapex co-ordinator) is a fantastic guy to work with. Although the crowd was slightly quiet at the beginning towards the end of the show everyone was into it and even clapping and shaking their bodies.

The whole event was filmed for local TV and hopefully I will get a copy in the near future....maybe could be a Bollywood star J hahaha.. I don't think so....

1.    Rockschool http://www.rockschool.co.uk

Rockschool was set up in 1991 to bring the best in pop and rock into mainstream education. They do this by providing exams, publications, advice and support to teachers and educational bodies. Rockschool continually expands its activities by creating partnerships and developing new qualifications. They have more than 60 exam centres in the UK and operate in many countries outside the UK such as: Australia, China, Dubai, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa and Thailand.

Rockschool offers a range of qualifications catering for all ages and levels of ability, including graded exams, teaching qualifications and part-time and full-time courses in conjunction with their partners.

Noam has written the new Rockschool drums syllabus (9 books), which was published in September 2006 and will be valid until 2012. In addition composed, consulted and played drums on the new Bass and Guitar syllabus (18 books) which came out at the same time.

The syllabus was published worldwide in 2006 and already sold over 100,000 copies. As Rockschool are becoming more popular and the number of candidates that apply for these exams are always growing this figure is expected to rise every year.
